COVID-19 UPDATE & COMMUNITY RESOURCES

7/12/2020

Picture
Masks are now required in all common areas of your HOA (including but not limited to gyms, clubhouses, playgrounds, pools, outdoor areas, etc), unless you are outside and are able to maintain a 6’ social distance. Please inform your guests of this policy if they’re on/in common areas. It’s essential that you and your guests adhere to this policy per the Governor’s guidelines and the City of Bend’s new regulations.

If you have a question, we’re here for you M-F from 9-5, so feel free to reach out to our office at 541-389-3172, and after hours on our emergency line. Also, please make sure to check your email, community websites and follow us on social media for current updates.

The State of Oregon has permitted pools and other non-contact sport facilities to open as part of the phase 2 plan. However, there are many new, extensive guidelines that must be followed for these types of facilities to operate including:
- on-site staff posted at entry/exit points,
- contract trace logs,
- regular sanitizing of high-touch areas,
- and, capacity limitations.

Aperion is working with your Board members to assess the costs and logistics to meet these guidelines as quickly as possible. The pool and other amenities in all Aperion managed HOAs will remain closed for now and we will send an update to homeowners early next week with updates.
To see a full list of guidelines for pools, please visit the Oregon Health Authority website at https://cdn.swimswam.com/…/uploads/2020/06/oregon-pools-pha…

What is the next step for opening pools and common areas in your Association? That’s a multifaceted and tough question to answer, BUT, we’re staying on top of exactly what the next steps are. Here’s what we’re currently doing:
  1. Reviewing insurance and HOA policies to make sure your community is protected.
  2. Understanding the phased plan from Governor Brown for Deschutes County, and how the guidelines affect Associations.
  3. Attending national and regional conferences to get the best, and most up-to-date, guidance.

Aperion will be meeting with your Association Board members in the coming week to share this information. We’ll also be working with vendors to see how we can meet the requirements of reopening.

With the ever expanding global health crisis our thoughts go out to all of the families impacted by this COVID-19 virus. Whether it is an impact of health, job loss, business closure, school closure, working on the front line of health care or the impacts of social distancing, the effects on our overall community will be unprecedented.  We recognize that there are many in our community that may be in need of help and we have compiled a LIST OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES BELOW but please, if there is anything that Aperion can do to ease this current situation for our communities please reach out to our team at 541-389-3172.

It’s also important to update you of a few key changes both at Aperion and in your HOA moving forward:
  • In an abundance of caution and following the executive order from Governor Brown, Aperion staff will continue working remotely until further notice.
  • Several key staff members will remain in the office to answer phones, process payments, and ensure vendor invoices are being processed and paid. Please do not come to our office as we will be unable to let anyone in.
  • HOA common areas will remain open with the following HEALTH ADVISORY sign posted in each common area.
  • Some community projects are moving forward as scheduled, however, given the current situation, project timelines could be impacted.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate this ever changing situation. We, at Aperion, are working hard to keep your HOA running during this time and ensure that your home values are not adversely impacted by a reduction in community operations. As you are all dealing with this at home, insurance still needs to be paid, your landscapers are still working, and we must keep the lights and water on.  We are currently working with your Board to examine any financial impacts of the current situation and will keep the community apprised.

Questions about your HOA or in need of help? Please contact Aperion Management Group at call 541-389-3172.
Thank you for your continued understanding – stay home and stay healthy!
